I spent nearly a decade as a chemical engineer in pulp and paper manufacturing. I started with my career working southern swing shift, managing a crew of 40. I invested in myself to grow my personal leadership skills and eventually was leading a team of 120, managing a multimillion dollar department.
I knew how to solve complex problems, lead under pressure, and deliver results—but what really caught my attention was what happened between the technical work: the leadership, the communication, the confidence gaps no one wanted to talk about.
That curiosity led me to leave the paper industry, earn a degree in industrial-organizational psychology, and shift my focus to what truly moves teams and careers forward: people.
Today, I blend real-world leadership experience with data-driven coaching and consulting to help STEM leaders step into bold leadership—and help STEM organizations grow the kind of leaders they actually need.

I’m also a mom to a confident, curious three-year-old girl who already knows how to take up space (and I’m not mad about it). When I’m not coaching clients or leading leadership workshops, you’ll find me out on a hiking trail, hunting down the perfect vintage blazer, or sipping a matcha latte with a fantasy novel in hand.
I live with my rescue pup, Riley, and my rescue cat, Post Malone—both of whom keep life interesting.
I share practical tips for using your voice and owning your power over on Instagram @stemcoachhannah, where I’m building a community of women in STEM who are ready to speak up and stand out—on their terms.
